A note for parents
What Prepify collects from your child — in plain language
Prepify is a JAMB exam-preparation app for Nigerian students. Most candidates are 15–18, so we built it to collect as little as possible, show no ads, and never sell data. This page is the short version; the full details are in our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
What we collect
- Email address — to create and secure the account.
- A username and state your child chooses — used for the leaderboard.
- Study data — practice history, scores, XP, coins, streaks, and which questions were answered incorrectly — so the app can show progress and a predicted score.
- Reminder notifications — only if your child turns them on. They can be switched off any time.
What we do not collect
- No real name, phone number, or home address.
- No precise location, photos, or contacts.
- No advertising trackers or third-party ad SDKs — there are no ads in Prepify.
- No session recordings or background tracking of how your child uses their phone.
We never sell your child's data and never use it for advertising.
About the “Ask AI Tutor” feature
When your child taps “Ask AI Tutor” for an explanation, the question text is sent to Google's AI service to generate an answer. No name or account details are sent with it.
Age & permission
A child must be at least 13 to use Prepify. If they are under 18, they should use it with your permission — by allowing them to use the app, you agree to our Terms on their behalf. The sign-up screen states this and links to our privacy policy.
Deleting everything
You or your child can delete the account and all associated data instantly, from Profile → Settings → Privacy & data → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) you may also request access to or correction of the data, and we respond within 30 days.
