Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Aptivo Ltd, trading as Prepify (“Prepify”, “we”, “us”), governing your use of the Prepify app and website (the “Service”), a JAMB exam preparation tool for Nigerian students. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who can use Prepify

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may only use Prepify with the knowledge and permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. Because Prepify is built for JAMB candidates (typically 15+), parents and guardians are responsible for supervising a minor's use of the Service.

2. Not affiliated with JAMB

Prepify is an independent study app. We are not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed bythe Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) or any examination body. “JAMB” and any exam names are used only to describe what the Service helps you prepare for. Past questions are provided for study purposes.

3. Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account.
• You agree to give accurate information (such as a valid email and the username and state you choose) and to keep it current.
• One person, one account. Do not share, sell, or transfer your account.
• Tell us promptly at legal@prepify.ng if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Acceptable use

When using Prepify, you agree not to:

• Cheat, manipulate, or abuse the leaderboards, streaks, coins, XP, or any game mechanic (including automated play, scripts, or exploiting bugs).
• Copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute the questions, explanations, or other content.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data, or break, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service.
• Use the Service for anything unlawful, or to harass or harm others.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these rules, including resetting dishonestly earned progress.

5. The predicted score is an estimate

Prepify may show a predicted score out of 400 and other progress indicators. This is an estimate based on your practice — a guide, not a guarantee of your actual JAMB result. Your real exam outcome depends on many factors outside the app. Prepify does not promise any particular score, admission, or pass. Do not rely on the predicted score as a prediction of your official result.

6. Coins, XP & in-app items

Coins, XP, streaks, levels, and similar items are part of the app's learning and motivation features. They have no monetary value, are not your property, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be transferred or redeemed outside the Service. We may adjust, expire, or reset them as we improve the app. There are no gambling, loot-box, or chance-based purchase mechanics in the Service.

7. Free and paid plans

Prepify is free to start. Some features may be offered through a paid plan. Where a plan is paid, the price, billing period, and what it includes will be shown to you before you pay. Unless stated otherwise or required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change plans or pricing going forward, but changes will not affect a period you have already paid for.

8. Our content and yours

The Service, including its questions, explanations, design, and software, belongs to Prepify or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own exam preparation. You keep ownership of the content you provide (such as your username); by providing it, you allow us to use it to operate the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Third-party services

We rely on trusted providers to run the Service — for example Supabase (database and authentication) and Google Cloud (the “Ask AI Tutor” explanations). Their handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy. AI-generated explanations are provided to help you learn and may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate; always check important answers against trusted sources.

10. Service “as is”

We work hard to keep Prepify accurate and available, but the Service is provided “as is”without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that content is error-free, that the Service will always be available, or that it will produce any particular educational result. To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, Prepify is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using Prepify at any time and delete your account and all data instantly from Profile → Settings → Privacy & data → Delete account. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service and its users.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If a change is material, we will show a notice in the app or on this page before it takes effect. The effective date above always reflects the current version. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Service is operated by Aptivo Ltd, a company registered in Nigeria, trading as “Prepify”. For any question about these Terms, contact us at legal@prepify.ng.
